Make no mistake about it; Lisa Marie Presley comes from a rich and layered legacy of music as the only child of rock ‘n’ roll king Elvis Presley. Her latest effort pairs her with her dad for an
unforgettable and memorable song that is sure to strike a cord of harmony and love among many.
“I Love You Because” is a signature anthem from “The King” but now the song has taken new shape, form and life. Although the song was only intended to be viewed by the 25,000 fans at the special anniversary concert in Memphis on August 16, the response from fans allowed Lisa Marie to see their joy from the song and do more with the signature song.
As a result of fan response from “I Love You Because”, the video will premiere on Thursday on country music TV channel CMT and CMT.com. The video, which was recorded in August for the 35th anniversary of Elvis Presley’s death will feature Lisa Marie singing the song “I Love You Because” with her famous dad.
Lisa Marie’s latest album, “Storm and Grace”, released in May, is a musical exploration through her Americana roots and declarations of stamina as the only child of the late Elvis Presley.
Elvis Presley died at the age of 42 and first recorded “I Love You Because” in July 1954 at Sun Studio in Memphis.
The video not only features audio of Lisa Marie singing the song with her dad but there are family photos of Lisa Marie Presley’s children and Lisa Marie and Elvis together.
The single will be available for purchase digitally on Tuesday, and the full video on iTunes on October 25.
